“Freeing yourself is one thing.
Claiming ownership of that freed self is another.”

— Toni Morrison

I was born a Scorpio in 1990 in Miami with deep, complicated and wonderful roots in Austria, in the Bahama islands and in Iran.

I am a psychologist, educator, and community space holder living in Vienna Austria. I am I the final leap of getting my certification as a Life Coach (Lebens- und Sozialberaterin in Ausbildung unter Supervision).

After doing my BA in Social Anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies London and my MA in Psychoanalytic Studies at the Tavistock Clinic in London, I returned to my home city of Vienna to get my Austrian psychologist accreditation (B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Psychology) at the Sigmund Freud Privatuniversität.

Work

I currently work as a self employed psychologist in a shared practice in 1020, Vienna, as well as as a lecturer on anti-racist psychsocial work at the FH Campus Wien & University of Vienna. Before this I was the psychosocial lead at Vielmehr für Alle! for nearly 10 years.
I am lucky to move between different freelance contracts and work with teenagers and adults internationally, in person or digitally.

In 2018 I founded Wir sind auch Wien – a platform for BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) focused mental health. As a Black woman I felt the importance of exploring the intersections of race, social justice and mental health with a focus on self and community healing.
